CASE STUDIES
International Development Case Study
In September 2007, the Redwood Group in conjunction with other major institutional investors from the US and Europe acquired a portfolio comprising more than one million square meters of prime logistics real estate in the greater-Moscow region. The portfolio encompasses more than 200,000 square meters of existing space as well as development sites capable of providing more than 800,000 square meters in a phased development program.
The investment transaction was identified by the Redwood Group who introduced the transaction to the other investors. Redwood's Japan staff played a key role in executing the transaction, and will share expertise through the development process.
The portfolio includes the completed and fully operational Pushkino Logistics Park located along the M8 to the northwest of Moscow. The park is anchored by tenants such as DHL and Auchan. The majority of the development assets are to be developed on a site located to the south of Moscow at the intersection of the Betonka Ring Road and the M4 in proximity to the Domodedovo International Airport.
Refurbishment Case Study
In June 2007 the Redwood Group acquired a portfolio of office, retail and residential buildings located in high-demand locations of Tokyo, Osaka, Sendai and Fukushima, valued at over ¥40 billion for an institutional investor.
Redwood is drawing on its development expertise to generate value by refurbishing one of the properties over a one year period.
Redwood developments focus on uncompromised quality, and delivery on-time and within budget.
This office refurbishment will transform the building into a high-visibility, high-spec building, which will become one of the highest grade offices in this central Tokyo location.
